#eqnz – 7.1 Earthquake in Christchurch Rocks my World.

If you are a regular visitor to this blog following my progress through the 2010 Challenge you may have noticed that I haven’t posted for a while.

You may be thinking to yourself that Dee has given up on the Challenge but I am happy to inform you that I am still going strong and I have a couple of good reasons for not blogging.

Reason #1 – I had been very unwell for a week (30 Aug – 5 Sep) – I had to go home early on Tuesday (1st) and was off work for a few days… I managed to do the lessons but not write blog posts. (I do intend to write them retrospectively and they will be pre-dated to the lesson date though published later).

#tc10 Module 4 – Week 4: Review

Market Leadership is foreign to most of us starting out online. The idea of becoming a ‘Leader’ can be quite scary when all you want to do is sit in your pajamas in front the computer and watch the money roll in.

Ed makes a good point about leadership is being a ‘servant’ to others. It’s about approaching the community and saying how can I help.

Personally I have no problem with helping others, in fact I enjoy it. However being in the spot-light is something I do struggle with so I dare say it will take a bit of practice before I feel comfortable with being a “Market Leader”

By the end of Module Four You should have:

IMPORTANT: Do not add your main niche site to your Posterous network as on this site we want to add our “premium” content.

#tc10 Module 3 – Day 3: Squidoo – Setup An Account And Create A Lens

Module Three: Create Your Off-Page Network
Lesson 3: Squidoo – Setup An Account & Create a Lens
Presenter:
Michelle MacPhearson  - Challenge.co
Video Length: 11:34 mins total

Creating a Squidoo Lens is a great way to get a high PR link back to your site. Quite often your Squidoo lens will rank on the first page of the Google Search Results for your keyword phrase before your site does so you can get traffic from your lens even if your site isn’t ranked in the top 10 so is an important step in our back-linking strategy.

However in order to do this you will want to create a ‘good quality’ lens with useful information for your target market. ‘Junk’ lenses will quickly drop in popularity.

Today Michelle McPhearson took us through the process of signing up to Squidoo and creating a lens.

Changes in the Wind…

Traditionally 30 Day Challenge “Season” has been during the month of August with a “Pre-season” beginning in July and the 30DC (as us veterans affectionately refer to it) has been just that… 30 Days. If you have ever done a Thirty Day Challenge before you will know that August was one frantic month – the whole world stops ( at least for those of us doing it) but realistically this is not possible for everyone.

Realistically it does take more than 30 days to launch a new internet business and the focus of the 30DC has always been focused on the “Niche Research” phase of doing this.

However big things are afoot…
