Lesson 6: SEO Matrix Analysis
Presenter: Jon Dean - Challenge.co
Video Length: 11:48 mins

In the last lesson we were introduced to the Market Samurai SEO Competition Matrix and the 5 criteria we use in the Challenge to assess our keyword phrases. Today we take a look at assessing the strength of our competition how to decide which keywords are not too competitive for us to target.

In bygone days of the Challenge and it’s predecessor the 30 Day Challenge this was the most difficult to part of niche research. #tch Module 1 – Day 4: Finding Theme and Category Keywords

mod1day4Module One: Keywords & Market Research
Lesson 4: Finding Theme & Category Keywords
Presenter: Jon Dean – Challenge.co
Video Length: 15:20 mins

Today we begin the all important evaluation process of checking whether our niche ideas fit the Challenge ‘criteria’ by using the keyword research tool ‘Market Samurai’

The purpose of this initial keyword research is to explore the general market or niche idea and see if you can find a  ’theme’ keyword phrase and other related keyword phrases to use as categories for our website that meet the Challenge criteria.

One of keys to developing a niche site that ranks well is to create a site structure that is based on a collection of ‘related’ keywords.  It is also important we not only rank for our main theme keyword phrase but also rank for all the category keyword phrases as well.
